What a success our Open House turned out to be. Many of our customers, vendors and family members enjoyed the catering and the employee tours. We would especially like to thank those in attendance that made our move possible including: M&T Bank, Kavinoky & Cook LLP, South Buffalo Chamber of Commerce and Assemblyman Mark Schroeder as well as many others.

Our relocation is complete! Full operation began in mid-February and with the addition of 2 more machinists and another metal locking technician our capabilities have greatly expanded. We are pleased to announce that our Open House will be held on March 17th from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Please feel free to attend and enjoy a catered lunch and green beverages - Go Irish!

Finally more space! Metal Locking Service signed a purchase contract for our new 22,000 square foot facility that is located at 216 Colgate Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14220. Our relocation should be complete by mid-January. Check back soon for Open House details.

We finalized the purchase of another large Horizontal Boring Mill today. When coupled with our already impressive machinery stable, MLS will be a forerunner in this region for large machining capacity.

8/22/05

MLS has hired Carrie O'Connell to fill our open Office Administrator position. Most recently, Carrie was employed with Butler Construction Company, a prime contractor working on the West Valley Nuclear Demonstration Project. With Carrie's help, Crystal will be freed to expand our company marketing.

Today we completed the installation of a new lathe. The capabilities of this machine include a 38” swing with 120” between centers.

Our newest machine purchase, a 54” Bullard Cutmaster, is days away from startup. A new electrical system is in process. This machine can turn up to 60” in diameter.

In order to alleviate some space issues, MLS has entered into a leasing agreement for an additional 45,000 square feet of floor space. The bulk of our metal locking repairs will be completed at this new site (10 minutes from our current address).

MLS is pleased to announce that we have hired an additional project manager to our front office. Tushar Bhanse recently completed his Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Buffalo. Please feel free to call Tushar and help us welcome him aboard.
